criminal cases

State of Alabama v. Nathaniel Morris. At 30 years of age, lead counsel on a capital murder case.  Client acquitted.  First capital murder acquittal in the history of Morgan County and youngest counsel for an acquittal.  *

State v. JPL, issue of first impression:  does a juvenile have right to be competent to stand trial?

Won acquittals on first three criminal jury trials:  poss. forged instrument, poss. prohib liquor, and DUI.

Employment -  Hammond v. Priceville.  Former Police Chief retained me, handled case in trial court and Alabama Supreme Ct.  Issue of first impression.  $100K + reinstatement for client.

Defended a Title VII Fed Ct., a gender discrimination case, won on a MSJ.
